NSO Housing & Meal Accommodations

For First-Year Students

If you are living on campus for the spring 2019 semester, you should move into your assigned housing before you check-in for NSO. 

If you are commuting to campus for the spring 2019 semester, you are not eligible for housing during January NSO. You will return home on the evening of Saturday, January 5 and return to campus on Sunday, January 6. Please note: all commuter students are expected to stay through 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 5.


For Parents & Family Members

NSO concludes at 5:30 p.m. on January 5 for parents & family members. Programming will resume at 8:30 a.m. on January 6. Parents & family members are welcome to stay overnight in State College during NSO, but an overnight stay is not required of you. You may elect to stay in a local hotel, or to return home for the night if you live close to State College. 

Meals are not provided for parents & family members during NSO.
