What to Expect During Your Advising Meeting

This initial group consultation meeting with an academic adviser will help you learn more about the different majors and opportunities in the College of Engineering. You’ll also get the tools you need to plan your first semester schedule.

During consultation, please join from a quiet place where you can focus. The meeting will be held on Zoom with other students. We encourage you to have your camera on to get the most out of the session. We’ll talk about your academic goals and interests, how they fit with your journey at Penn State, and what courses you might take in your first semester.

We hope that you will continue to engage with academic advisers throughout your academic career and that this will represent the first of many interactions.
