What to Expect During Your Advising Meeting
During your Zoom group session, you will:
- Get an overview of the College of Agricultural Sciences.
- Learn how to meet one-on-one with an adviser in your major.
STEP 1: Schedule Your Appointment Now!
Important: Be sure to stay on the linked scheduling page. Appointments scheduled in other places will not secure your advising consultation time slot and may be cancelled.
Select the path that best fits you to schedule an appointment. If you're undecided among majors, pick one that aligns with your interests:
- Students interested in Agricultural and Biorenewable Systems Management: Schedule Appointment

STEP 2: How You’ll Get Your Zoom Link
Your appointment confirmation is sent to your Penn State email.
The email will include:
- The date and time of your meeting
- The Zoom link for joining
Pro Tip: Accept the .ical attachment in the email to add the appointment directly to your calendar!
About Your Appointment Time!

Appointments are scheduled in Eastern Standard Time (UTC-5).
For example: If your appointment is from 9:15 a.m.–9:45 a.m., join by 9:15 a.m. Eastern Time. -
Check your Penn State email regularly for updates—especially right before your meeting!
If any changes are made, we’ll notify you via email.

Your academic consultation will be more productive the better prepared you are going in. Before your scheduled meeting, make sure to revisit your NSO tasklist and complete all steps including:

- Pre-Registration Activity Guides (REQUIRED)
- Transfer Credit Survey
